Cases 14,952–15,641 (Govt. Web reported on 29 April 2020, after 22:30 SGT) 690 new COVID-19 Cases: All are locally transmitted. 660 of the Cases are our Work Permit Holders staying at the Dormitories, 6 Singaporeans/Permanent Residents. The following are provided by the Government Official website: See the summary of the confirmed cases are in Annex A. See the links between the Previously Announced & New Cases in Annex B. See the above-mentioned! No detail of each case reported! And they still refused to tell us exactly how many new cases of Singaporeans are infected separated from the Permanent Residents! We have studied all the Clusters and new cases they mentioned carefully; we have noted that all of them are of unknown COVID-19 Causations. You see the majority of the cases come from our Foreign Workers live in Dormitories! Extracted from Wikipedia: “Living conditions at foreign worker dormitories[edit] The pandemic brought the living conditions at foreign worker dormitories to media attention. Dormitories were reported to be unsanitary and crowded, making preventative measures like social distancing difficult.[463] Retired diplomat Tommy Koh criticised the living conditions, calling it "third world" and "a time bomb waiting to explode".[464] Amnesty International called the situation a "recipe for disaster".[465] Dominique Mosbergen at the Huffington Post said that COVID-19 "exposes ugly truth about Singapore’s treatment of migrant workers".[466]” See 17 dormitories receive awards for excellence in foreign worker housing management (dated 13 September 2018): https://www.mom.gov.sg/newsroom/press-releases/2018/0913-dormitories-receive-awards-for-excellence-in-foreign-worker-housing-management (highlighted by Chatterbox below this News report). Can anyone please advise if these 17 dormitories which have received the “excellence” awards form any of the Clusters of the confirmed COVID-19 cases in Singapore?
See the People’s comments below the News report. 8-D Many Thanks for all your constructive comments! Due to space constraints, only some are extracted: From WhySo: How many patients can our medical system and resources handle? 20,000? 50,000? If we devote all our resources to treat the foreign workers, what will happen to Singaporeans who need medical help for non-COVID-19 illness?
From Bernard: MANDATORY wearing of Mask was implemented on 14th April..What has the statistics show? Wearing of mask no help at all??? Isn't wearing a mask if one is unwell policy a total flop by our million dollars task force???
From Zack: So how many test did the MOH did yesterday. Pls include that as a routine daily report so that it is transparent to the public how many from the test are infected. Why want to hide....
From YH0: S'pore is going to have a very very tough time if the coronavirus spreads further and new cases keep on rising each day, there could be more of a REAL lockdown rather than using the words Circuit Breaker. Come GE, we should kick and vote these 'CB' ministers out.
From TheRighteousHand: Our PAP govt needs a co-driver to slap them when they fall asleep or takes a wrong turn. The 70 % need to wake up and see this. Their mishandling of Covid19 contagion should wake these idiots up before the legacy built up by our first generation govt is being destroyed by PM Lee and his group of half past six ministers.
From Mass testing for Covid-19 pls...: Can the taskforce come up with steps to contain & reduce spread in FW's dormitories? 1) separate healthy ones & relocate them. 2) introduce uv-c Ray's in ALL dormitories 3) compulsory for FW to wear masks even within rooms & usage of hand sanitizers.
From Daniel: Well done. Test the FWs first than test Singaporeans. If ventilator not enough by than you remove the FWs ventilator for Singaporeans? This government simply cannot make it even jobs support scheme for self-employed must wait till june and it is subject to approval. If you owe government money they will freeze your bank account but when they are supposed to pay you they will make you go through many procedures and end up still subjected to approval. VTO VTO VTO!
From Joe Low: Cannot imagine the amount of public money going to pour in to contain this virus for the foreign workers and the amount of time it will take for all of us to go back to 'normal' life
Cases 15,642–16,169 (Govt. Web reported on 30 April 2020, after 22:30 SGT) 528 new COVID-19 Cases: All are locally transmitted. 488 of the Cases are our Work Permit Holders staying at the Dormitories, 6 Singaporeans/Permanent Residents. See months have passed and they still could not identify the sources of COVID-19, how to contain it? See the Big Bullies (who are paid with fat salaries) show no positive results in their works! $$$$$$$$ would be better spent to feed our People who are still job- seekers! See the People’s comments below the News report. 8-D Many Thanks for all your constructive & excellent comments! Due to space constraints, only some are extracted: From Avenger: Malaysia Health Director Datuk Noor Hisham Abdullah reported a mutation of the Covid virus that affected 120 patients in Malaysia. There are reports of 10 such mutations in India and 30 known mutations till date. Is MOH aware of this development? Our Comments: See this report dated 29 April 2020: Malaysia has seen Covid-19 mutations, warns of aggressive infectivity.
From Self Pity: There are some capable Singaporeans who jobs had been lost before this covid came into the scene. Jobs lost and now they will not able to return to the jobs they are good in. Why I said so. Because before the covid many Singaporeans and myself keep telling government there are jobs Singaporeans capable to do but there is unfair hiring process and now these group have to resort to Low paying jobs to survive. If our government will to put Singaporeans first then this should not happen now everything is uncertain. Will Singaporeans be more unemployed than the foreigners here. ‘ From The Unwanted: This method of isolation doesn’t help at all the sick are isolated while others Who show no signs of symptoms are still infecting others. Only way is to use the right test kit to test the 300k. Singaporeans as usual are the ones who suffered most .
From TheRighteousHand: I will respect the first PAP minister who comes out to apologise for mishandling containing the contagion and offer his or her resignation as a sign of accountability. PAP leaders should walk the talk and set an example of what they have been talking my all day - the meaning of taking responsibility and accountability.
From Poor singaporean: Nowadays nvr report the unlink cases, hide under the carpet is it?
From John: It's only when in a crisis that true leadership reveals itself. How are our leaders performing?
From Hammer for Justice: With this increasing cases, I think the announcement for CB breaker 3 will come soon from the DISHONORABLE son. Failures after failures, mistakes after mistakes just to cover their poor leadership and incompetencies. Covid 19 is so mishandled and mismanaged by them 4 G goons.
From Johnny: Foolish government that refused to heed the advice of the people, and refused to apologise for their mistakes.
Cases 16,170 -17,101 (Govt. Web reported on 1 May 2020, after 22:30 SGT) 932 new COVID-19 Cases: All are locally transmitted. 905 of the Cases are our Work Permit Holders staying at the Dormitories, 5 Singaporeans/Permanent Residents. See the People’s comments below the News report. 8-D Many Thanks for all your constructive & excellent comments! Due to space constraints, only some are extracted: From Matthew: Malaysia is reopening most of their economy on 3 May where MCO will be ease. Yet SG is still struggling with the Dorm infection cases. If the 1st case of worker infected with COVID-19 staying in Dorm were to take it seriously by the competent authority, we would not be in this dirt state on CB or extended CB. Now till now, refuse to apologize to the public, you know what kind of F attitude they are portraying.
From Jenny: PM Lee, We SG can't be locked down perpetually by your team oversight refused sight whatever to call because of foreigner dorm.
From Old bird: How could one of the more critical Ministries be helm by a lady who have practically no experience at all. She is solely responsible for this fiasco. When the first foreign worker from Seletar airbase and then that cluster from Mustafa tested positive the red alert should have been send out and these dormitories should be isolated because knowing that the virus is so infectious. Now with the isolation of these dormitories there is not going to be of any effect because the virus is already amongst them and there are asymptomatic cases amongst them. The time bomb already ticking in these dormitories. Just isolate them and let the other businesses open up. The rest of Singaporeans must not be made to suffer because of some incompetence of some people. ‘ From Bianchi: I kind of worry that we got to spend considerable money on these FW. What about for Singaporean?
From Joe Low: Insight: In the early weeks, Hong Kong and Taiwan openly admit their country is short of face mask. And as early as 27 January, Taiwan banned export of masks: What did SG do? Showing a picture of a warehouse stocked with facemasks and telling residents we have sufficient stock and to use masks “responsibly” and only if sick. While foreigners in SG were buying them in bulk to ship back to their countries and SG stocks get depleted. The reason is that only on 4 April, SG Gov then recommended us to wear masks and ONLY made them compulsory from 15 April, that’s late by at least 2 to 3 months. The highest paid but sleeping on the job and with a ‘no blame culture’
From Marcus: Infected cases will be EXPECTED to rise FURTHER! WHY? 1. Reported in ST 28/4 - 12,183 FW infected 2. TODAY , 27/4 - 21,000 FW tested to date. Thats a infection rate of 58%! With a est 300K of FW, even if the infection rate goes down significantly total cases may cross 30k easily. It's also reported in our media ANOTHER 22,000 bed to be added for isolation/care facilities by end June. Its not impossible that the CB to be extended.......
From My Opinion: So left 43-25 dorms = 18 dorms? 18 x average 500 cases = 9000 cases more to go? I faint !!
From Bernard: It’s a complete MESS in the containment amongst FW be it staying in dorms or other place of stay. Right now the figure among local transmission had more or less flatten. Why are small businesses not allowed to reopen gradually? Employers & employees are suffering at the expense of the failure by our task force to bring down the number of infections! Though most will agree these migrant does jobs that no locals do & had contribute to our nation building, we should NOT be penalised together with them.
Cases 17,102-17,548 (Govt. Web reported on 2 May 2020, after 23:00 SGT) 447 new COVID-19 Cases: All are locally transmitted. 431 of the Cases are our Work Permit Holders staying at the Dormitories, 4 Singaporeans/Permanent Residents. The following are provided by the Government Official website: See the summary of the confirmed cases are in Annex A. See the links between the Previously Announced & New Cases in Annex B. See the above-mentioned! No detail of each case reported! Total only 4 cases, and they still refused to tell us exactly how many new cases of Singaporeans are infected separated from the Permanent Residents! We have studied all the Clusters and new cases they mentioned carefully; we have noted that all of them are of unknown COVID-19 Causations. See the People’s comments below the News report. 8-D Many Thanks for all your constructive & excellent comments! Due to space constraints, only some are extracted: From John Wee: Someone raised a good point here. How many are actually tested and what’s the percentage of confirmed cases? You can test 500 today, 5000 tomorrow...pls publish the number of tests conducted to be more informative. Otherwise, the numbers are pretty meaningless.
From Tony: In a Crisis, True Leaders Stand Out Swift action, compassion, and trust in science mark the most effective responses to the coronavirus. Leadership may be hard to define, but in times of crisis, it is easy to identify. - The New York Times
From ng: Sure or not, only 4 local cases or only test 4 locally. Over 17,000 confirmed cases millionaire task force sure can prevent them from spreading?
From YH0: Our Govt has indicate the total figures of the foreign workforce in S'pore at the end of last year stands at 1,427,500. Given that our population is approximately 5.7 million, it would mean that the percentage of foreigners in S'pore stand at roughly 25 %. Considering we are a small country, that is a fairly large percentage.
From Self Pity: Many Singaporeans now are more concerned after CB lifted and going back to work when bad news awaiting them. If out of jobs it will be very very difficult to look for one. And more stress, more angry with government immigration policies, more families problems. Cost confirm rising and worst will GST increase. Housing loans, study loans how? How Long can our government support us, Singaporeans!
Our Comments: Dear Big Bullies, till this day you still refuse to render an account on how you use our Reserves to help our needy Singaporeans who are crying out for help! Don’t tell us the bulk of the $$$$$$ have been given to non-Singaporeans & Foreign Workers! Yes, we want to help others and the Foreign Workers too but the bulk of the $$$$$$$$ to help them should not deprive what our People need and it should come from those who have made them sick in the first place! You should know who they are! It’s your negligence that failed to ensure that the Dormitories are in liveable conditions and made the workers fell sick! Seek contributions from the Causations NOW! Use the same method as MediShield Life (item 1) & CareShield Life (item 11) which you designed! Refuse to contribute & pay? Use “Demand Note, Fine, Suit & Jail (and Threat to sell the House)” as what you want to impose onto the People in MediShield Life and CareShield Life? Pass a law now to do the same to them & you will be relieved of the burden of this bulk funding! If you dare to cover up for them because they are your buddies & use the bulk of our Reserves to pay others instead of Singaporeans, you should know what we will do next! Now tell us where the Reserves $$$$$ go to?
