From Thug life:

Can ask New Zealand team to advise since you guys seems to be getting no where. You did your best Mr Lawrence but you have no solutions for questions. We need professionals advice. Please move over and get the professionals in please.

From Marco:

The situation will not get improved if there still same old group people in charge. Everything is expendable from their eyes including the citizens. If things not work out, then try another. They do not need to think deeply and bear responsibility because the job is very much secured even if they do anything wrong.

From Tan:

New Zealand has declared the virus completely under control! With the goal of completely ending transmission of COVID-19 within its borders, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam are doing better job than us - they are fully capable of controlling the spread of the virus .

These countries have not used so call "advanced high technology” or robots and support with huge sums of money to develop world first " gadgets " as well as tracking software of course not huge national reserves but they solve the problem in appropriate way !

It turns out that our gold standard mode has failed!

From William:

It is obvious that our government is 'hosting' foreigners very well since the world is watching how we are treating their citizen. Our FW are getting first class treatment while Singaporean and PR are integrated in our daily covid report, not forgetting FW Dorms are all over. That's why Singaporean has to pay for vaccine and no surprise FW will get it free. It seems Singaporean and everyone are blended in the yard while the Ministers with secure job and salary are safe in the house & telling us to keep an open mind.

From iNViSiGOTH:

Singapore (Area size - 725.1 km2 (280.0 sq mi):

A small tiny nation on the world map have a population of 5.67 million, has over 38,000 confirmed covid-19 cases and 25 deaths. New daily infections are in 3 digits and still going. Singapore govt wants to push “new normal” with less freedom.

New Zealand (Area size - 268,021 km2 (103,483 sq mi):

“The South Pacific nation, with a population of five million, has had 1,154 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 22 deaths. There have been no new infections for 17 days and, until Monday, just one active case for more than a week”. NZ govt wants normal life to resume.

I hope the above comparison can help some people to rethink their choice. The govt just don’t have the interest of the citizens at heart whereas in other parts of the world, their govt takes care of its own people first. My point is other country govt will never use low birth rate and cheap labor to screw their own citizens and in some countries, they won’t use crisis to stripped its people of their freedom. Countries like NZ, HK, Taiwan, Vietnam and Thailand just refuse to be a part of this sick and twisted viral warfare being played against us which can only explain why they are more efficient in bringing the virus under control than the rest of the developed countries who just want to cripple the economy and change our way of life. This virus is so ‘devastating’ they want us to change our lifestyle, behaviour and mindset forever.

From Tocking Kocking:

It's very obvious that MOH has slowed down the testing of FW in FW dorms because they are "pro-actively" testing other groups like childcare centres, schools, elderly homes, hospital staff, etc …

Once after the elections when MOH restarts testing FWs in large numbers again, 50,000 to 70,000 should not be surprising! Unless by then, many FWs had acquired herd immunity or had self-recovered asymptotic.

MOH is gambling with the FWs' lives; same like CCS gambling with Singaporeans' lives regarding face masks!

From Liberation:

They only interested in their FWs and construction. The rest of the economy can die is it?

From ahgong:

I really really cannot understand why another 400+ still reported. Are these the results from tests done one month ago or what?

Dorms were isolated since early April.

It has been 70 days since the first dorm was cut off from the community.

Assuming each infection cycle takes about 14 days and assuming the MMTF segregate the infected from the non-infected FWs systematically, it would take at worst 4 cycles or 56 days to bring the cases down or flatten the curve as the Ministers like to say.

Then why after 70 days, we still have 422 cases?

If they have been infected since the early days when the dorms were locked down, wouldn't they have recovered or have died if not treated?

Can LW or GKY explain this at the next press conference?

From Andrew:

Who are these "work pass holders" in the community? Why are they perpetually getting infected, even during the lockdown period??

From Joe Low:

SG - The Never Ending Story.

We made the history, but there's nothing to be proud of, in fact quite ashamed actually

From Marcus:

Let me tally, its 39387 cases of today. 40,000 target is easily met. As tons of migrant workers yet to be tested, the next target of 45,000 or even 50,000 is within reach. Our task force said is stable & under control? If that is so, why the curve couldn't be flatten. More than 2 months since CB numbers of cases still in 3 digits!

Cases 39388-39850 (Govt. Web reported on 12 June 2020, after 23:00 SGT)

See Government Web and related Annex A, Annex B & Annex C.

12 June 2020: “Singapore confirms 463 new COVID-19 cases, total at 39,850”. See the People’s below the News reports! 8-D

11 June 2020 Report: “Measures to tackle COVID-19 cases in dorms early on were 'insufficient': Teo Chee Hean”. See the People’s below the News reports! 8-D

Our Comment: You see the COVID-19 daily new cases (all 3 digits!) & their track record in our General Election Webpage. Do you think they can lead Singapore to wholeness & prosperity? Will the 2nd Wave of COVID-19 come? Unable to handle the 1st wave, will they be able to handle the 2nd wave & make us safe? You decide!

From Lcm:

Clear lesson learned during Covid 19 outbreak is that Singapore needs to stop the "ownself check ownself" and we also need to know how much reserve we have.

From Breeke:

"Despite having heightened surveillance and tightened precautions in Singapore’s migrant worker dormitories early on"

Surveillance means? What measures following the Seletar Aerospace cluster? That cluster we now know that it was not contained and was the origin of the subsequent dorm tragedy. Your reckless govt invented and took the flawed reasoning "No proof of asymptomatic infections" to mean "Proof of no asymptomatic infections" and then quickly claim victory declaring that cluster contained. Dun try deflecting that grave mistake to one of "insufficient measures".

From Veteran@VOTE:

We mobilised resources from across our public service, government-linked companies, and the private sector ----------------

how much has it cost the people reserves, so far ???

From michael:

The clear lesson learned during the COVID-19 outbreak is that Singapore needs to plan in peace-time “on facing the unknown, and build deep reserves of people and capabilities, so that when we face a crisis, we can act decisively, and respond flexibly and rapidly”. but all the MTF ever needed to do was shut the borders on March 15. no other measures could substitute that. even now, the MTF is talking about opening up the borders to facilitate travel despite hundreds of confirmed cases per day. lesson never learnt.

From Eddie:

Sigh...Not an apology to-date. So hard to utter the word "Sorry". Taiwan President bowed deep in front of national TV when a Navy ship contracted 25 cases while on a Pacific goodwill visit. Consulting the public? I seriously doubt...Yahoo bloggers had thousands of inputs.

From Pict:

The only clear lesson I learned from this crisis is the 4G leaders Cannot Make It (CMI). Spore need to reconsider again and perhaps look deeper when the election comes.

From Joe Low:

Community cases increased before Phase II. Let's see how many more cases once Phase II come. And we are seeing a lineup of Ministers on the TV talking about COVID-19 or doing pre-election rallies? Cannot be suddenly so many Ministers appearing right just before GE to speak on TV right?

Then there's the radio talk shows by other Ministers too. Using all available free and controlled media to their advantages that opposition parties cannot even touch. Even though showing a bad result in containing and managing this virus. Anyway, self-phrase is in the DNA of these expensive group of WHITE gang.

Cases 39851-40197 (Govt. Web reported on 13 June 2020, after 23:00 SGT)

See Government Web and related Annex A, Annex B & Annex C.

Case 161, a 73 year-old male Singapore Citizen, has passed away from complications due to COVID-19 infection on 12 June 2020. He was confirmed to have COVID-19 infection on 9 March, and had a history of hypertension, hyperlipidaemia and chronic kidney disease.

13 June 2020: “36th death: Case 161. Singapore confirms 347 new COVID-19 cases, total at 40,197”. See the People’s comments below the News report!

Our comment: The death toll is rising! Now ONLY the 36th death? Can you still say the same if they are your family? See the daily new COVID-19 cases in Singapore, you decide if the PAP Rulers really know how to contain the virus!

From MaskedFighter:

SINGAPORE: COVID-19 patients in Singapore who are assessed to be clinically well by day 21 of the onset of illness can be discharged without further tests, Health Minister Gan Kim Yong announced on Thursday (May 28).

Taskforce/MOH remember your above statement. Don’t say 21 days.. migrant workers dormitories are lockdowned from 7th April..which means they are isolated within their dorms for 2.5 months..

If TASKFORCE dare to release more and more FWs into workforce..CAN our Health ministry and Taskforce explain WHY NEW infections from Dorms are still reported daily Without Fail?

Our input: Here is the News report on 28 May 2020 for cross-referencing.

From Sage:

3 Greatest Mistakes made:

1) "If you are well, you do not need to put on masks. Wear masks only if you are unwell" - so infection continued unabated 23Jan - 13 Apr, till mask ruling enforced on 14-Apr. It is one thing that there is no mask available, but another to issue such an advisory.

2) "The Dorm situation was already under our radar since Jan 2020…" - then why no stronger, faster actions then? Printing brochures, reminders to Dorm Operators are sorely inadequate!

3) As at today, they are still not quickly resolving the Dorms situation when cases already account for 94%. Day in day out...we can predict with our eyes closed that the daily update will report as "majority of cases are from dorms".

From jay:

Did we too depend on Govt as what Lawrence Wong had mentioned? Or I can say the Govt are too depend on we citizen to accept their negligence. Don't think that we are all children to do whatever you said. Enough is enough and everything had a limit.

Applause!!! How come a local woman age 67 will got affected from the dorm? I tot we are told to take good care of the elderly?? How come she can work at a high risk area? Government allow that to happen?

Our input: Please see Government Report Annex C1.

From goh yeow hwee:

Case 39893 school student. so her classmate, close contact place on quarantine? MOH,MOE didnt said and didnt mentioned the school name this time.

During CB, MRT, bus low capacity and social distance. so unlink case was low. Now MRT, bus packed, unlink case going up, no way to control but wait for vaccine.

Cases 40198-40604 (Govt. Web reported on 14 June 2020, after 23:00 SGT)

See Government web & related Annex A, Annex B & Annex C.

14 June 2020: “Singapore confirms 407 new COVID-19 cases, total at 40,604”. See the People’s comments below the News report! 8-D

From Karma:

"Based on our investigation.." Pls investigate why everyday confirmed cases are STILL in the HUNDREDS..

From Chan:

So govt reported that the dorms situation are under control and the govt had reported and provided daily information on the number of infected cases, especially those from the dorms. Since it is under control, then why is the govt still not providing information on how much cost had been used and paid to these Fws and new dormitories ? Dont forget the money used on all these FWs and dormitories belongs to all Singaporeans and NOT private govt money. the govt should release and update all the cost to the Media for public information. The cost information can be provided to the public weekly or bi weekly.

From Paul:

1/4 million cases when testing of FW is completed! Priority to reduce dependency on FW. At least reduction of 1% per annum. Provide incentives to companies in reducing FW and employing more Singaporeans and increasing automation.

From Joe Low:

Look at the massive number of TV trailers for the 6 to 7 Ministers going on TV to talk about COVID-19 these 2 weeks. Did a 4G Minister praising the 4G team? Like there's no need for accountabilities and responsibilities from them, as I cover you, you cover me, I praise you you praise me. And worse, the TV and other medias is like hijacked by these White to promote or self-glorify themselves.

Nothing but an election plot and using this COVID-19 platform to do propaganda works for the coming GE, indirectly if not directly. Remember to vote wisely come next GE, show the incumbent that they cannot take us for a ride and eat the whole cake and icing while the crumbs are left to the larger population to fight over

From TokaAli:

1.Mee Siam mai hum. - Lee Hsien Loong

2.we don't have enough Sheep to produce cotton.- Chan Chun Sing

3.Without a natural aristocracy, society will lose out. - Lee Hsien Loong, 2015 etc…
