14 June 2020 report: “Singapore must resist protectionism, even when competing for jobs: Chan Chun Sing”. The People please comment! Their comments can be seen below the News report! 8-D Our comments: Agreed! Let the smart Singaporeans stand up & compete for the jobs of the PAP Ministers & MPs please. Listen to this audio & you see who has been calling the People “idiots” in his heart, finally he said it loud to Business Leaders in a close-door meeting before 16 February 2020! We are NOT stupid! You see what the PAP Rulers gave us in the past & now in our General Election webpages & how they contain this COVID-19 virus. The facts & figures speak for themselves. Can you expect Singapore to prosper if we allow them to continue with the same “old games”? Many Thanks for all your constructive & excellent comments! Due to space constraints, only some are extracted: From Breeke: PAP must resist protectionism, even when competing for political jobs - repeal pofma, unchain the media, enact a freedom of information law, respect freedom of speech and expression, let ppl elect a real president for check and balance, appoint a non-partisan Speaker, do not appoint a PAP minister as NTUC sec gen, do not hide our state funds behind a corporate veil, do not use outsourcing to protect itself from accountability, reveal Ho Ching's salary, subject all public officers above a certain level to public disclosure of assets and financial interests .. please RESIST PROTECTIONISM! From LCTA: What is going down in today Singapore our jobs due to shortage of essential infrastructure like our export, farms, factories, innovations, MNCs , manufacturing plants. What is going up, our import, the millions FT policy, condominiums, shopping centres and most important our cost of living. With the Atlantic Alliance pulling out their investments and government protection for their 2.7 millions FT all fully employed, do you think there will be enough jobs for 3 million Singaporeans, many are underemployed and jobless and still CCS want us to resist protectionism. The answer is very clear, come GE your vote is very important for your own survival and protection. From Rain: It’s a different world even though we keep ourselves open to the world. The world economy was on a downturn even before Covid-19. The world is already on recession and many ppl lost jobs. What are the issues face by the ppl? Firstly, many companies relocate their operations to China. Are they being forced to setup in China but it certainly resulted in many job losses. Secondly, US-China trade war. It resulted in more job losses. Companies are being forced to locate to US or elsewhere. Thirdly, India outsourcing. It resulted in even more job losses. Many jobs gone to India and many also work here due to cheap labour. Honestly, all these are unfair trades and they do not follow the market rules anymore. What can we do as a small country? We don’t hv natural resources and so on. It is not simple to say that we need to re-train our ppl for new jobs. The multiple crisis will last few months or even few years. How long can the ppl last? There are many new graduates and school leavers too. The ppl in SG need to prepare for a big change to face the new and unfair world too. Remember that PMET accounted for 80% of retrench workers in last 2-3 years which affected the ppl age 40 to 50. Companies like to employ PMET because they are cheaper, no commitment to national service and so on. Our government will continue to import another few millions ppl in next few years bcos their popularity has been dropping and continue to ignore the plight of the ppl. This is their goal. Not our goal. From Rinpoche: At the end of the day is about taking Singapore for business and money for the rich, businessmen and elite. If not for the citizens then why do we vote the PAPi for? Isn't this a Basic Fundamental Question? As usual, when PAPi say Singapore, they are actually referring to the Garment of the Day which is PAPi themselves. Why in that case we have to sacrifice ourselves 2 and the half years of hardship, sacrifice sharing our lands with others new citizens, national dilution, CECA, FTs, FW and we end up getting nothing and suffered in hunger! Many local Singaporeans are unemployed, as much as 100,000 as announced. We need to make drastic changes. Apparently the focus is on themselves, not for us. Next up and must do, VTO and Balance up the Parliament. From zphoe: watched and listed the whole speech. Must say that of all the ministers who spoke thus far, chan's speech is by far the worse and the most impersonal that I cannot identify with. One key thing i notice is he keep saying singaporeans, BUT as we all know even in yahoo reports they only refer to locals which includes PR! This gov strive to run Singapore like a business and has lost its plot! Singapore minister please listen to us the citizens!! ONLY 3.5million citizens is your concern! It is not anything else! you talk about international competition etc etc BUT this benefits only you and some foreigners and NOt citizens in general! Hve a friend who used to work at Stanchart at a senior role and he got replaced by an Indian foreigner whose salary is 50% cheaper. Many pap supporters would probable argue and say my friend has outlived his role etc. but is it reasonable?? nothing to say if his role is replaced by citizens! Don't tell me there is no citizen capable? why replaced by cheaper Indians? From TokaAli: Our comment: Please see the comments below the News report as it is too massive to contain in our limited size webpage.
Cases 40605-40818 (Govt. Web reported on 15 June 2020, after 23:00 SGT) See Government web & related Annex A, Annex B & Annex C. 15 June 2020: “Singapore confirms 214 new COVID-19 cases, total at 40,818”. See the People’s comment below the news report! 8-D 15 June 2020 report: “Singapore COVID-19: Phase 2 reopening to start on Friday, social groups and household visitors capped at 5”. See the People’s comment below the news report! 8-D Are you happy about the lower figure 214 of new COVID-19 infections today? Look here, out of the entire population of 5,848,403, only 488,692 (83,560 tested per 1 million populations) have been tested since 20 January 2020. This means that at least 5.35 million in Singapore not tested yet; this is the track record of the “excellent” & the World most expensive PAP Rulers! No one can identify who the asymptomatic cases are, including themselves! Do they want to entire population to get infected? You decide if their Testing rate is slower that any snail movement as compared to Wuhan, China (11 million within 10 days)! See the irreversible damage for any infected person caused by COVID-19! Compare how fast the same Big Bullies grab our $$$$$$$$$$$ using MediShield Life (see item 1)! Dare to default on the premium payment? They will impose on us “Demand Note, Fine, Suit & Jail + Threat to sell your house”! Some People tell us that if possible, they want to impose upon the Big Bullies the same “Demand Note, Fine, Suit & Jail + Threat to sell their houses” if they continue to waste our Reserves with negative results & working slower than snail movement! Many Thanks for all your constructive & excellent comments! Due to space constraints, only some are extracted: From HeadortailWin: I'm not so hopeful about any result or report as of now because we are still seeing most of the community cases are foreign workers living in our neighbourhood. So far no words from the task force what precautionary action they are taking to prevent the spread to the uncles and aunties. From Mass testing for Covid-19 pls...: Today's low 3digit is nothing to be happy about... this is why... (I cut & paste what I read fr a comment ytd which I find very logical) "Let's pick a FW and call him Mr X and he got infected. If it is not his turn to be swabbed, since there may not be enough beds at isolation centres, he will very well go through the 14 days infected and recovered unknowingly. He may spread to others within the dorms unknowingly. No one knows, not even Mr X himself because asymptomatic cases are silent. This is like wildfire that spreads on and on and on." As long as they do not test ALL FWs on a single day & isolate the infected cases, the 3 digits will be a norm till Oct or Nov. Taskforce, care to comment? From Joe Low: The lower figure is it due to lower number of tests conducted over the weekend? Am also worry about the nearly 30,000 "fully recovered" patients. Did we not hear from the taskforce that after 21 days, patients will be released without any need for test in order to qualify for the release but these patients just need to SHN for another 7 days can then can come out like anyone. Also, with the dorm migrant workers now scattered over many different areas around SG, instead of just concentrated in their original place of stay, will these multiple places pose extra problems to SG again, raising the chance of widespread infections again? From Tan: The number of people tested on a daily basis will never be published .Only the number of confirmed cases per day will be announced .although our ministers does not have the right way to solve the spread of the virus however they have cleverly made Singaporeans feel that the spread of the virus has been somewhat controlled . So who dares to say that our ministers are Insufficient capacity ? Because they are paving the way for next month's general election ! If you think I'm biased against the government, please tell me how many people tested today ? From Veteran@VOTE: so, phase one takes 17 days. 2nd june till 19th june. including phase 2, number of days, Singapore ccb takes more than 3 months. longer than most countries around the world.
Cases 40819-40969 (Govt. Web reported on 16 June 2020, after 23:00 SGT) See Government web & related Annex A, Annex B & Annex C. 16 June 2020: “Singapore confirms 151 new COVID-19 cases, total at 40,969”. See the People’s comments below the News report! 8-D 15 June 2020 report: “COVID-19: Retail businesses can reopen physical outlets on Friday with safety measures in place”. See the People’s comments below the News report! 8-D See our comments here. Many Thanks for all your constructive & excellent comments! Due to space constraints, only some are extracted: From Poor singaporean: For the sake of their agenda, daily high dose of cases also can massage, calibrate to lower dosage! hohoho From BT: The daily number of persons tested island wide must be reported that will make sense..so does this mean only 151 tested today & all were positive.?? this is frightening RATIO. From Native Singaporean: Yes, it is the lowest, but we have doubts whether our government completed thorough screening of the workers in the dormitories in the rush to release the workers to sites. From Rinpoche: Why is the need to particularly differentiate Singapore Residents with the Community Cases especially when the concerns should be emphasized on the Community Infection and Spread to better inform the public for public safety? Or the MIWs think that in this case they can better sneak away from responsibility? No way! From Planewalker: Almost everyone who have listened to ministers' hour long speeches over the past few weeks have agreed that their speeches were the worst written and delivered since independence, especially CCS. Not only were those speeches substanceless, unmotivating and they were parroting the same old policies that were in place even before the covid outbreak. Not one reform and long term solutions are given, its more like we see how things go and hope for the best. Lets not forget that they are still targeting 10 million populations to reside in our city in order to reach the megalopolis status despite the foreign imports. Not changing their outdated goals and objectives despite the covid outbreak Not reform their cabinet and department despite the manpower ministry's mess. Not providing new jobs despite the lockdown. Why should the citizens listen to their useless speeches and vote for them?
Cases 40970-41216 (Govt. Web reported on 17 June 2020, after 23:00 SGT) See Government web & related Annex A, Annex B & Annex C. 17 June 2020: “Singapore confirms 247 new COVID-19 cases, total at 41,216”. See the People’s comments below the news report! 8-D Dear Daddy God, Creator of the entire Universe, please see our Claims Statements against the Big Bullies who have all the authority to use our Reserves against our wishes. They pretend to be blind to many who are jobless. Now they refuse to give us a proper account on how the money has been used! Please help us to turn their pockets and bank accounts upside-down & expose how much $$$,$$$,$$$,$$$ they have been grabbing in secret! We promise to honestly make good use of the money & help those who are in need. Many Thanks. Many Thanks for all your constructive & excellent comments! Due to space constraints, only some are extracted: From Joe Low: Remember dear Singaporeans, who let in potential virus carriers by the thousands in the early months of Jan/Feb/Mar making SG a hotbed for infections and making the population suffer for months in Apr/May/Jun? Was it because these highly paid “leaders” trying to show off to the whole world high pay can do things differently and gain credits for the coming GE but flopped BIG time? In Phase 2, SG is still banning mass events but think back, why mass events like SG Airshow and Chingay parade were held knowing the virus is lurking around us? And letting cruise ships in when many other countries and ports have already shut them out? Now then the taskforce is trying to do the right thing to have incoming foreigners to pay for the COVID-19 testing and pay for their own quarantine stay of 14 days, if they don’t have their own. Remember those early months everything throw in for free including all-inclusive 5-Star lux hotel stays? AND only now the taskforce say paying for them is “unsustainable” but that is after breaking SG National Piggy Bank and plonked down nearly S$100b of our Reserves and budgets to save businesses and use a small portion for residents. Remember to vote wisely come next GE. We have to let in A LOT MORE opposition MPs to tilt the very unbalanced power by the incumbent, which already lost its way 15 to 20 years ago, around the time these top “leaders” started to increase their salaries to sky high. So high that they “cannot think” properly because the stakes (the millions $$) are too much to sacrifice if they were to disagree with their bosses. Coupled with the supreme and no blame culture they have on what they did From Planewalker: Remember PAP said the following before and after Covid and their stance remains unchanged: "Speaking to 700 students at a ministerial dialogue at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) last week (Mar 2019), Mr Heng (Future PM) cited Liu Thai Ker’s views that Singapore should plan for a 10 million population, as he asserted that the projected population of 6.9 million by 2030 that the Government announced to widespread backlash in 2013 is not excessive." "Speaking about the Government’s plans to improve Singapore’s infrastructure for the next generation, Mr Chan (CCS) said: “We will also intensify the efforts to attract the best ideas and talent to compete on our side, and complement our strengths.Initiatives like the Global Innovation Alliance connect us with talent hubs across the world. We will make ourselves a more attractive safe harbour for talent, ideas and intellectual property, to grow more businesses and create better jobs.” “But we have to be realistic,” the senior minister and coordinating minister for social policies said in a Facebook post. The “sheer uncertainty” in the global economy means “we will have far fewer new job openings than jobs being lost -- over the next year, and beyond that if we are unlucky,” And their solutions to all the problems we are facing now, are repeating the same old methodology, for jobs, its just training, training and more training as they had suggested using tech as a threat before covid started. For low birth rate, its just import, import and more import of non Singaporeans, nevermind the growing threat of new second wave of virus cases in other countries.
