It’s about Singaporeans future and the future of our children. Our jobs. Our country. Saying this I sincerely hope that 2/3 opposition can be elected to check on the statutes that will be passed on bills. After all Singapore matters not political parties. From L: Seriously, if you can't manage your family problems, surely how are you expected to solve the country's problems. You guys spent 2 days of parliamentary time debating about 38 Oxley without the 2 most important participants in the debate, namely your siblings. It’s about the future of Singapore at a very grave moment in our history....." Q. if he thinks this covid-19 situation is the most serious crisis since independence, then WHERE IS THE LEADERSHIP? Where is the accountability for what is happening in the FW dorms? How many times did he address the public on covid-19 for past 6 MONTHS? Maybe 4 - 5 times? How many times did he address the public since announcing elections? Perhaps 6 - 8 times? So obvious what he is really worried about - it seems like this elections is the most serious crisis for HIM .... not for Singapore. 2) LHL: "I think if we look for the perfect candidate, we will lose many good men and women. And if we encourage a culture of trial by Internet, then we will not find anybody willing to stand .... Q. That wasn't the tune when Loong said must pay ministers million$ in order to get them to enter into civil service. Perfect candidate for SG - No, very difficult; perfect pay for themselves - Yes, die-die also can make it happen. What is the logic here? 3) LHL and HSK say now PAP need a strong mandate to chart the course for SG in the immediate and near future. Q. Didn't he had a good 70% mandate in the last elections? So how had he charted the course for SG since 2015? Our GDP growth was down to 0.5-0.7% even before covid-19; PMETs are becoming security guards, self-employed, private hire drivers, food delivery riders, etc; we are No.1 covid champion in SEA; NZ took 11 days to effectively contain covid-19, SG is still having 100's infections after 95 days (and counting); nonsense like Kelong a presidential election becos SG needed a "reserved" president; etc ... Only this time, he didn't cry and say will try to do better next time. From Jim: His family dispute is a judge of character. Blocking LKY's will by the gov that he leds is unacceptable by a culture that emphasize filial piety. The moment the gov got involved, this is no longer an internal dispute. From WH: LHL and his siblings family dispute in public will just be only a passing consideration in the voters mind. It will not be the only factor determining how the voters will vote. The voters will judge the performance of LHL and his ruling party in the past 4+ years and will determine whether they deserve their votes or not. His family dispute is not the main criteria. Having a Malay only President selection is a more important event to judge the performance. From LCTA: Singapore's future is actions and not talking. No point telling us there are plenty of jobs in WSG and when you apply, you received plenty of calls daily from CECA employment agencies, and finally no action to hire you . Why don't you impose the 50% quota strictly reserved for born Singaporeans & NS men in every PMET department across all industries except hospitals. [ HDB Houses are supposed to be affordable to normal Singaporean because public housing are provided by Singapore Government , especially that base on SDP's research that they had made public announcement in in 2012, the Construction Cost of New 3 - 5 HDB rooms are only $70,000 - $150,000 & this value can be the High End side too . So, something is really not right & our PAP-run Singapore Government need to go IN-DEPTH to check what is really happen & the ROOTS of the PROBLEMS ] (3). NOT ENOUGH HDB Housing Grants & related Housing Subsidies to buy HDB flats at all . (4).Too many so called " FOREIGN TALENTS " enter our country WITHOUT proper MONITOR & CONTROL & these so called “ FOREIGN TALENTS “ are robbing our jobs, badly affect to our life & marriage life, spread very Bad Social Culture & very Unethically Corporate Culture . Sometimes, these so called “ FOREIGN TALENTS “ have applied jobs successfully in Singapore with FAKE EDUCATIONAL CERTIFICATES & even, cause Singaporean employees that have Real Educational Certificates & the Right Skills to LOSE their JOBS . (5). Unstable JOB SECURITY & often, both Hostile, Unsafe Working Environments to Singaporean employees are widespread in Singapore work places . (6). More POOR PEOPLE & OLD PEOPLE need helps from Singapore Government , But , still NOT ENOUGH Helps from Singapore Government . (7). Rapid DECAY of SOCIAL CULTURE in Singapore society & RISE of UNETHICALLY BAD CORPORATE CULTURE in Singapore Work Places that cause so much BIG PROBLEMS in Singapore Civil & Private sector, like constant MRT Breakdowns, Corruption among key civil servants, purposely ABUSE of POWER to cause Damages & Harms by top management in work places ( Like senseless Death of NS personnel in SAF & etc.) & etc. . (8). POOR EMPLOYMENT LAWS & LITTLE REAL ACTION from Relevant Authorities to Protect Singaporean employees, even for White-Collar or, Professional Level types of jobs that Singapore government want the highly educated Singaporean to take over, from Bad Bosses & Evil Employers that too easily replace Singaporean employees by so called “ FOREIGN TALENTS “ . (9). Many so called " ELITE CLASS " & etc. , are using their GOOD CONNECTION to Top Civil Servants & GREAT INFLUNECE in Society to purposely ABUSE , EXPLOIT & EAT normal Singaporean Population that make up over 90% of the entire Singapore Population in Singapore , for their own Selfish Interests, or, even base on their like or, dislike . (10). POOR PROTECTION provide by Government Laws & Law Enforcement Agencies from Dangers & Harms from Bad Civil Servants that purposely ABUSE of POWER , Evil “ ELITE CLASS “ & many Bad “ FOREIGN TALENTS “ that want to Harm & Rob us . We, the Citizens of Singapore, DON’T VOTE Anyone to be MP to Earn FREE & EASY HIGH SALARY for NOTHING & without looking after the INTERESTS of Singaporean people & WORST , make the life of normal Singaporean to be very HARD & TOUGH . Very importantly, we, the Citizens of Singapore, seriously DON’T ALLOW the MPs or, any so called “ ELITE CLASS “ that are well-connected to these MPs to purposely ABUSE of POWER to any how EAT & HARM us , as well as , purposely behave in IRRESPONSIBLE WAYS that lead to Harms & Troubles to Singaporean people & the whole Singapore Society . So, any elected MPs & Ministers in Singapore Government MUST look after & fight for our Benefits, our Interests & our Welfares, or else, we have NO Good Reasons to VOTE these type of dishonest , unreliable people to be MPs or Ministers to EARN FREE & EASY HIGH SALARIES at all . From Oscar: More opposition will be voted in to Parliament. You have been living in your ivory tower for too long already. This is the balance that ordinary Singaporeans want. MPs salary of 16k is too high given that most of your MPs don't treat this position as a full time job. Instead they delegate the work to a team full of volunteers and lackeys to support them. Where is the justification? As for the failed policies in dealing with the current pandemic crisis, I don't think your team deserve the mandate from the electorate! But your Josephine, Gan, Lawrence, Sheep Chan all mishandled, mismanaged & downplayed the serious of this Covid 19. Some people told the citizen go out don’t wear mask (but actually Mask shortage) ,go out Jalan Jalan as per normal, how can these Ministers collect millions and put commoners at risk and worst still, Spore is Champions of SEA.
