From Johnny: “Do not undermine a system that has served you well.” - Influx of foreign workers - Rising costs of living - Highly inflated HDB prices - Mishandling of COVID-19 crisis - CPF withdrawal issues Served us well? Really?? From Severomorsk-1: We don’t talk about opposition parties. We just talk about the performance of the ruling party and just based on their failures after failures, that is reason enough to vote pap out. 1. PMD saga 2. Job losses to foreigners 3. 30% water tariffs increase 4. About to rise gst 5. High cost of living 6. Stagnant wages 7. Highest covid19 infections And many more.... From Joo Mong: Experience with repeated bailout using our national reserve? PAP unable to deliver? We feel short-changed? HDB upgrading with shoddy workmanship and incomplete? So many issues from the PAP? From Blah Blah Blee: I urge Singaporeans not to be “taken for a ride” by establishment politicians who say that “we have the strongest possible team”. From NewTariff in Town...: We more Opposition to check on them. Listen to this for the answer. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Us_jes6XPm8 From JamesBond: I also won’t be taken in by PAP sweet promise! This GE, I have not even seen my MP walking the ground. 5 years past, i don’t even see him at my blocks funeral wake of my neighbours or some national. I almost forgot the face of my MP, how to vote for this person? From zphoe: BUT it is true! Citizens need more opposition in parliament to check on PAP! Overheard an older citizen said that he prepared to take 50% loss in his wealth net worth if that’s what it take for the PAP to listen and be more pro citizens. This is the only way his grandson has a better chance of doing well in life living in Singapore! The only only solution today is to have more opposition in parliament! From Michael: Dear PM Lee, in 2015 your slogan "with you, for you, for Singapore'. This didn't happen for us (especially for Singaporeans). 2020 your slogan "Our Lives, Our Jobs, Our Future" Will this happen? Can we trust in you again? From Ndy: Why should we still believe you? When we only hear promises before every election but experience the pain and difficulty after, with a growing number who can hardly cope with the cost of living. We know who is lying through the teeth before every election. From Native Singaporean: PM Lee, choices is up to the people, who can see and hear, to decide. It is not up to you to say on behalf of the people. They have their brains, eye and hear to make decision. If you had listened to the people during the last Presidential Election, at least people will listen to you. Because you take people wish for granted and put your ex-MP as President and giving freely $million salary per year. Now you come and beg the people. Don't you think it is too late ??? Even now, COVID-19 pandemic, you and your task force had miscalculated its severity and results are unhealthy. And now you made a bold and wrong move by pushing ahead GE 2020 without consideration the lives of young and old under COVID-19 pandemic yet to be cleared conditions. Are these actions parts of your leadership? From andrew JD: Did he forget he said, Don't Panic, we have SARS experience", "don't need to wear mask". They did nothing tell the world we are gold standard. Then when COVID19 out of control in Singapore, he locked us up for 2 months and said for our safety. But he suddenly open up when they want to hold an Election. How to trust this roti prata man. From Joe Low: Mr Lee, we were told since young not to put all the eggs in one basket. Now this one basket (PAP) looking dangerous anytime can drop and all the eggs gone. Your leaders tell us to embrace competitions but when come to election, you want to eliminate all opposition parties. You were the one telling us openly to steal other's lunch. When we steal other's lunch, these 'others' will be left jobless and how to support their families? Do you have a solution in hand to help uplift Singaporeans' lives or just pushing us around and ended up many take up gig economy jobs with unstable income or under-employed with a job that is not enough to feed a family? From Denis: I promise you I will vote PAP out with my one vote as with you, it is clear and present risk - gst beyond 7% where MIW take million dollars. in flood of India, PRC, Philippine, Vietnam....to take usd-1500 to usd-4500 from me and my kids, probably from my grand-child. bus and train are essential service why must operate by private company ? and still frequent break down. voting opposition might be equal risk or worst, I don't try I cannot die with eye closed. From JTC: Mr PM, sorry to say this but your statement does not hold water for this election. It is due to the inefficient and incapable "ministers" that have been put in place, and their performance, that Singaporeans are seeking alternatives. You should know that human beings have and are given the right to choose. When something is amiss or not right, it's only natural that one decides to make a choice. Please do not show your constituents that you are beginning to panic by making such statements. It does not reflect well for you as the pm, for your political party as a whole and for the Singapore government. Singaporeans believe you, with double uni degrees, should be more astute and smarter than that?!! From b3d: “Do not undermine a system that has served you well.” is an understatement, when the system itself is used to clear one's name, and seemingly pursuing a personal agenda. From Prince: Why not? If you PAP can have GRC to have more people and more choice... why not having alternative.... btw we are not communist country.... and pls dun make like one!! Thanks!! From Tan: I'm sorry, Singaporeans " NO CHOICE " because PAP 4G is really incompetent and too arrogant, as you said " What they do, they take the PAP's plan, they say, 'very good, here are a few holes, please patch the holes, here are a few places where you can add more money, make it cheaper, do more, work harder'. . you made it clear to Singaporeans that we needed the opposition, which pointed out that the government's policies were flawed ; **** So we can also know that the PAP MPs have failed to do its part, pointing out that there are loopholes in the policy .they only said YES . Singaporeans are blessed if there are enough elected opposition MPs 2/3 forward different views in Parliament and point out " defective policies " . From YH0: LHL speech is long overdue. Start to vote for more opposition... the more the merrier... the more voices in parliament the better. From LEE: Now, look at this newspaper article in The New Paper & see who is REALLY TWISTING the words & DISTORTING the FACTS: (Professor Tambyah replying to the PAP’s allegation) Quoting directly from the news article: "That is something I never said," he (Professor Tambyah) said when asked whether he had claimed the task force did not rely on medical experts. Quoting directly from the news article: Mr Lawrence Wong of the PAP also took issue with Prof Tambyah's suggestion that the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) had put out an advisory in February telling employers not to send their workers for testing, on threat of losing their employment privileges, and that the Ministry of Health (MOH) had been "blindsided". On the second statement, he (Professor Tambyah) said: "I did say that MOM issued the statement... "I said that MOM issued an advisory saying that if workers who are pre-symptomatic were sent for testing, that the employers would lose their workforce privileges, and that is a violation of public health 101." Professor Tambyah continues: "We're just pointing out a fact, MOM issued an advisory, which was mistaken, because it goes against the principles of public health… "And I don't think that MOH or any of the doctors would have wanted that outcome." He explained: "In public health, you want to test as many people as you can, and you don't want to discourage people from testing. And the last thing you want to do is to threaten people who send pre-symptomatic individuals for testing. "I'm sure they consulted their own doctors, but ultimately the decision was not a medical decision." So it’s crystal clear here whose the one who is actually TWISTING THE FACTS & MISLEADING the public. Which is no surprise at all given how well known the PAP is in playing the political game. And let it be known that this treacherous habit of the PAP in the pot calling the kettle black extends to the PM (Lee Hsien Loong) himself – which is why Lee Hsien Yang, the (blood-brother of the PM) joined the Opposition party in recent days. Again quoting directly from an online news article: Lee Wei Ling (daughter of the late Minister Mentor & Ex-PM of Singapore, Lee Kwan Yew) also stressed in a Facebook post that her late father was MISLED by PM Lee into thinking that his 38 Oxley Road property had been gazetted by the Singapore government, causing him to change his will to bestow the house to LHL. So the residents & electorate of Singapore, Now YOU know who’s the ONE really without INTEGRITY & out to spread falsehood!!!! From My Opininon: Same tune lah ! No one will be left behind ......(Behind me now got 400,000 foreign workers with 44,000 covid 19 cases? 300,000 work pass employees, FT's , and CECA FT's ) Please think carefully before you cast your vote .Do you agree to vote for: 1) GST increase 2) No checks and Balances 3) $100 Billion needed for climate change 4) Free scholarships given to foreigners 5) Jobs for CECA, foreigners, PR's 6) High Crime rate increase committed by foreigners. 7) Food cost increase 7) Public Transport and taxi fares increase 8) No Transparency 9) No Accountability (Covid-19, no need to wear masks during the early stages, FW’s more than 40,000 infected cases) 10) No need meritocracy and steps, transparency and procedures taken to appoint key office holders 11) Citizenships or PR’s given away so easily. 12) CPF lock in for a very long period and will face financial difficulties 13) High medical costs. 14) PMET jobs lost to foreigners 15) Increasing population to 6.9 million or even more. 16) CPF not able to finance University education 17) Expensive HSR project 18) Life isn’t getting better down the road 19) Notmypapsident (not elected by the People) 20) Foreigners first, Singaporeans last. 21) Too many Part Time MP’s 22) High Cost of Living 23) Educational seats for foreigners 24) 2/3 voices needed or else you are the minority, YOU decide 25) Life isn’t better the last 5 to 10 years 26) Paying ridiculous salaries and bonuses 27) Holding directorships as a civil servant outside, (Singaporeans interests must come first) 28) CPF should be returned to Singaporeans as promised age 55 29) $500,000 salary as mediocre 30) Land cost to be factored in the selling price of HDB 31) … What do you think?
