The Book of Psalms (RSVCE, NRSVCE, NIV, NIV by Dramatized) 001 (15 June 2022. The Righteous & the wicked. Audio). The Two Ways. Word of God: 3 They are like trees planted by streams of water, which yield their fruit in its season, and their leaves do not wither. In all that they do, they prosper. 4 The wicked are not so but are like chaff that the wind drives away. (Psalm 1: 3-4) Analyse ourselves, sometimes we behave righteously or wickedly. Analyse ourselves: the thinking, behaviour of a Godly and that of the wicked are very different. Who do I belong to? To God or to evil and their lives turn into a mess. Joy, Happiness and Peace belong to the Righteous. 002 (16 June 2022. God laughs and scoffs at the wicked. Audio). Rulers of the earth. Word of God: 10 Now therefore, O kings, be wise; be warned, O rulers of the earth. 11 Serve the Lord with fear; with trembling kiss his feet, or he will be angry, and you will perish in the way, for his wrath is quickly kindled. 12... Happy are all who take refuge in him. (Psalm 2: 10-11, 12b) From Acts 4:25, we know the author for the Book of Psalms is David. The Psalmist speaks to everyone: You can be blessed or broken; it is up to you. If you want to be blessed, there is only one way: Submit and surrender your life to God your Creator and depend on Him, you will prosper and be blessed. If I choose to go astray, disobey God and causing harm to others, I will be broken. The choice is mine. 003 (17 June 2022. A psalm of David. When he fled from his son Absalom. Audio). Deliverance belongs to the Lord. Word of God: 7 Rise up, O Lord! Deliver me, O my God! For you strike all my enemies on the cheek; you break the teeth of the wicked. 8 Deliverance belongs to the Lord; may your blessing be on your people! Selah (Psalms 3: 7-8) “Deliverance” is God’s property. ONLY God can give you FULL Deliverance & TOTAL Salvation, be it eternal or from present trials & tribulations. 37 Everything that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and anyone who comes to Me I will never drive away; (John 6:37) 004 (18 June 2022. Confident Plea for Deliverance from Enemies. Audio) When you are disturbed, do not sin. Word of God: 3 But know that the Lord has set apart the faithful for himself; the Lord hears when I call to him. 4 When you are disturbed, do not sin; ponder it on your beds, and be silent. Selah (Psalms 4: 3-4) Disturbances will come anytime of the day or night, even you have a good reason to be angry but do not commit sin. Ponder & meditate on it and keep silent. Try to get away from the Sources of the Disturbances. We don’t have to be weak as we have the Holy Spirit, practise the virtue of silence and patience and overcome the situation. 005 (19 June 2022. Word of God: 7 But I, through the abundance of your steadfast love, will enter your house; I will bow down toward your holy temple in awe of you. 8 Lead me, O Lord, in your righteousness because of my enemies; make your way straight before me. 9 For there is no truth in their mouths; their hearts are destruction; their throats are open graves; they flatter with their tongues. (Psalms 5:7-9) David prayed for direction in life instead of asking God for things. Lead me O Lord with the power of the Holy Spirit. 006 (20 June 2022. Prayer for Recovery from Grave Illness. Audio). Every night, I flood my bed with tears. Word of God: 6 I am weary with my moaning; every night I flood my bed with tears; I drench my couch with my weeping. 7 My eyes waste away because of grief; they grow weak because of all my foes. (Psalms 6:6-7) David has sinned and he is seeking God’s mercy and pity on him. David felt that God is angry with him, he sensed the lack of God’s presence in his life and as a result he cannot sleep the whole night. He prayed to God to have mercy on him and shorten the punishment. There are 2 kinds of troubles stated here: Physical (illness etc.) and the Anguish of the Soul or Spiritual Dryness or the Sadness of the Soul, and as a result David could not sleep at night. Lesson: Obey God always, live in His Grace and make progress daily on the path of Love and Service, AVOID Sin so we don’t have to suffer so much like David, it seemed that his riches, honour and Bathsheba could not relieve his illness or sadness of his soul. 007 (21 June 2022. Plea for Help against Persecutors. Audio). Righteous Judge. Word of God: 10 God is my shield, who saves the upright in heart. 11 God is a righteous judge and a God who has indignation every day. (Psalm 7: 10-11) God is a Righteous Judge, He judges His children/everyone in a just manner, not only with abundant love, mercy, compassion, understanding, forgiveness, He also judges His children with JUSTICE, He is Impartial and Just. For God, there is NO partiality. 008 (22 June 2022. Divine Majesty and Human Dignity. Audio). Human Dignity. Word of God: 4 what are humans that you are mindful of them, mortals[a] that you care for them? 5 Yet you have made them a little lower than God and crowned them with glory and honour. 6 You have given them dominion over the works of your hands; you have put all things under their feet (Psalm 8: 4-6) We are beautifully and wonderfully made in the image and likeness of God. We have the dignity of being Beautiful children of God. There is the dignity in the existence of your being. God bless us with His image and likeness. We are God’s chosen ones and there is a dignity for my being, so we need to respect our own personal lives just that we have the image and likeness of God within us and I am precious in His sight. God has given us High values in our lives. God is interested of my life more than I am interested myself. We may hate ourselves for doing wrong sometimes; But God loves me 24/7. God loves His creations especially Humans, He respects us and our own freedom. Let us respect the dignity of being wonderful children of God. Let us respect & love our lives and thanking Him for giving us this wonderful life on earth. 009 (23 June 2022. God’s Power and Justice. Audio). God does not forget the cry of the Afflicted. Word of God: 12 For he who avenges blood is mindful of them; he does not forget the cry of the afflicted. 13 Be gracious to me, O Lord. See what I suffer from those who hate me; you are the one who lifts me up from the gates of death, 14 so that I may recount all your praises, and, in the gates of daughter Zion, rejoice in your deliverance. (Psalm 9: 12-14) God remembers everything but men forget many things. David is thanking, worshiping and adoring God as He cares for the humble, the poor and needy, how He defends David from his enemies. God remembers our cries, our struggles, disturbances, trials and tribulations which have afflicted us. He comes, helps & delivers us. 38 Daniel said, “You have remembered me, O God, and have not forsaken those who love you.” (Daniel 14:38) God remembers all the minute details of your life, He helps and He provides. Word of God: 4 In the pride of their countenance the wicked say, “God will not seek it out”; all their thoughts are, “There is no God.” 5 Their ways prosper at all times; your judgments are on high, out of their sight; as for their foes, they scoff at them. (Psalm 10: 4-5) David questioned God why He has not taken action against the wicked. Those who say there is NO God is because of Pride, so there is no need of any Discipline, Principles, Virtues, Morality, Order, System, Values and can live in whatever ways they like and making themselves Gods, depending on their own Abilities and Talents? This is really ABSURB! No thoughts on eternal life, they forget about God! They thought they can find “Living Water” but NONE, as Living Water is ONLY from God. Being with God is not easy but we will enjoy being a Child of God. 011 (27 June 2022. Song of Trust in God. Audio). God loves Righteous Deeds. Word of God: 5 The Lord tests the righteous and the wicked, and his soul hates the lover of violence. 6 On the wicked he will rain coals of fire and sulphur; a scorching wind shall be the portion of their cup. 7 For the Lord is righteous; he loves righteous deeds; the upright shall behold his face. (Psalms 11: 5-7) David thought to himself: Why do I need to flee as my God is the Righteous God & He loves Righteous Deeds? This is the comfort & encouragement for All the Righteous. My God who watches over me in Heaven and on earth knows what I have been doing and He knows the contacts of my enemies. Our God loves Righteous People and He loves the good deeds of the People of God. Our God is Righteous and His love extends to every corner just like the sun giving out it’s light & warmth everywhere. There is no need to fear as He loves us and cares for us because He loves the Righteous and the good deeds of His children, He will provide for us accordingly. 012 (28 June. Plea for Help in Evil Times. Audio). Flattering Lips and a Double Heart. Word of God: 1 Help, O Lord, for there is no longer anyone who is godly; the faithful have disappeared from humankind. 2 They utter lies to each other; with flattering lips and a deceitful heart they speak. (Psalms 12: 1-2) Deceiving Talkers are increasing in this World. Flattering lips refuse to say the truth, gossiping… When we want to say something, must try to be for the good of the other party, with honesty and transparency. Otherwise, we are helping others, our own life and our own soul. Must avoid deceptive words, gossiping and flattering lips. 013 (29 June. Prayer for Deliverance from Enemies. Audio). How long must I bear pain in my soul? Word of God: 1 How long, O Lord? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me? 2 How long must I bear pain[a] in my soul and have sorrow in my heart all day long? How long shall my enemy be exalted over me? (Psalms 13: 1-2) For David faced these: Relationship with God, with oneself and others with its disturbances how long this will be in my life? To go to Church to pray, attend Mass and surrender everything to God that is the ONLY way to overcome the anguish in our hearts. Every one of us has a cross to carry. He called the crowd with his disciples, and said to them, “If any want to become my followers, let them deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. (Mark 8:34) Being a child of God, I need to carry my own cross, but I have Daddy God who will help me in my struggles, He is powerful and can do anything impossible for me. We need to put out TRUST in Him in our struggles. God know our intense desire for deliverance and God helps. Instead of focusing on my problems, I should be focusing on God. 014 (30 June 2022. Denunciation of Godlessness. Audio). Seek After God. Word of God: 2 The Lord looks down from heaven on humankind to see if there are any who are wise, who seek after God. 3 They have all gone astray; they are all alike perverse; there is no one who does good, no, not one. (Psalms 14: 2-3) A Fool denies God but the Wise seek God. God is the Creator of the entire Universe and He has the ultimate authority and right over each creation. I can only be wise only when I seek God who lives within me as I am a temple of the Holy Spirit. 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. (Matthew 6:33) When I seek God, then there is love, joy, peace and purpose in my life. There is this God who loves me and cares for me. It is wise to depend on God to experience the Joy of life. 015 (1 July 2022. Who Shall Abide in God’s Sanctuary. Audio). Who may abide in Your Tent? Word of God: 1 O Lord, who may abide in your tent? Who may dwell on your holy hill? 2 Those who walk blamelessly and do what is right and speak the truth from their heart (Psalms 15: 1-2) Characteristics of a person whom God receives. Tent is the place where God meets His children through a mediator who is the Priest, this is the place where we experience the presence of God. 16 (2 July 2022. Song of Trust and Security in God. Audio). My Heart is GLAD. Word of God: 8 I keep the Lord always before me; because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. 9 Therefore my heart is glad, and my soul rejoices; my body also rests secure. 10 For you do not give me up to Sheol or let your faithful one see the Pit. 11 You show me the path of life. In your presence there is fullness of joy; in your right hand are pleasures forevermore. (Psalms 16: 8-11) David speaks of his confidence in God; his decision is to always live in God’s presence and letting God being the 1st in his life. Keeping God as the 1st in my life and the centre of my life will bring Gladness, Joy and Security. Keeping Jesus as the centre of my life is not easy, definitely there are struggles, difficulties, in spite of these; we will experience gladness and security which come from God. See what Mother Mary said in the Magnificat: Luke 1:46-55 (audio). This is the Ultimate TRUTH. 017 (3 July 2022. Prayer for Deliverance from Persecutors. Audio). The Apple of the Eye. Word of God: 8 Guard me as the apple of the eye; hide me in the shadow of your wings, 9 from the wicked who despoil me, my deadly enemies who surround me. 10 They close their hearts to pity; with their mouths they speak arrogantly. (Psalms 17: 8-10) Apple of the Eye: Lord I am so precious to You and can get easily injured. Thus David demands from God protection in the midst of his enemies and in his crisis. 018 (4 July 2022. Royal Thanksgiving for Victory. Audio). God lights up my Darkness. Word of God: 27 For you deliver a humble people, but the haughty eyes you bring down. 28 It is you who light my lamp; the Lord, my God, lights up my darkness. (Psalms 18: 27-28) David was working in a sheepfold but God has annointed him as king. He had undergone many crisis and struggles, practically losing everything but God was with him. Everyone of us has been made by God as His beautiful child. Each of us has some darkness within or in the family. Why this darkness within me? Evil desires or excessive selfishness in my personal life. David said he needs light and God is this light. 12 Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness but will have the light of life.” (John 8:12) Light is possible ONLY with God! Let’s surrender our darkness to God and move forward with the Light who is Jesus himself. 019 (5 July 2022. God’s Glory in Creation and the Law. Audio). Clear me from Hidden Faults. Word of God: 12 But who can detect one’s own errors? Clear me from hidden faults. 13 Keep back your servant also from the insolent; do not let them have dominion over me. Then I shall be blameless and innocent of great transgression. 14 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable to you, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer. (Psalms 19: 12-14) 3 important aspects: 1. The Heavens are telling the glory of God. 2. The importance of God’s word. 3. Beautiful and wise prayers of David shown above. Like David, we may have forgotten about the hidden faults and have not been fully repentant about them. Let us be repentant of our hidden faults/sins and ask God to clear the hidden faults/sins in our lives. 020 (Prayer for Victory. Audio). Our Pride is in the name of the Lord. Word of God: 7 Some take pride in chariots and some in horses, but our pride is in the name of the Lord our God. 8 They will collapse and fall, but we shall rise and stand upright. 9 Give victory to the king, O Lord; answer us when we call. (Psalms 20: 7-9) David remembers the Covenant our faithful God made with Israel who always brought them out of Trouble. Same as today, the Rulers of the World depend on their sophisticated weapons and tanks, they will fall but NOT those who trust in the Lord. 4 Abide in me as I abide in you. Just as the branch cannot bear fruit by itself unless it abides in the vine, neither can you unless you abide in me. 5 I am the vine, you are the branches. Those who abide in me and I in them bear much fruit, because apart from me you can do nothing. (John 15:4-5) My victory depends on how much I trust in the Lord. Two things are important for Victory: My hard work & the Grace of God. Hard work + Trusting in God = Victory belongs to us. My pride should not be my family or what I have, but I should take pride in the Lord because God helps and without Him, we can do NOTHING! The moment we come closer to God, we experience Calmness, Joy and Peace in life. Life is beautiful ONLY with God. 021 (7 July 2020. Thanks Giving for Victory. Audio). They will NOT succeed. Word of God: 11 If they devise mischief, they will not succeed. 12 For you will put them to flight; you will aim at their faces with your bows. 13 Be exalted, O Lord, in your strength! We will sing and praise your power. (Psalms 21: 11-13) They will not succeed because they rebel against God. The action may be right or wrong but you need to ONLY check the Intentions. God knows the Intentions of a Person. They intentionally rebelled against God, devised wicked plans and might even masked them to be good, but God knows. Their actions may look good but their intentions are mere SELFISHNESS. 022 (8 July 2022. Plea for Deliverance from Suffering and Hostility. Audio). Why have You forsaken me? Word of God: 1 My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? Why are you so far from helping me, from the words of my groaning? 2 O my God, I cry by day, but you do not answer; and by night but find no rest. (Psalms 22: 1-2) The Psalm consists of three parts: 1. The cry of the Forsaken. 2. David remembers God’s help previously. 3. God rescued him and David gives glory to God. 46 And about three o’clock Jesus cried with a loud voice, “Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?” that is, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” (Matthew 27:46) We cannot compare the cry of Jesus on the Cross with David’s cry, as for Jesus case was complex, deep darkness and mysterious. All of us have experienced this complexity of life, deep darkness and we find that Life is really mysterious because of this Spiritual Dryness and feeling of the absence of God. But when we look back, we can recall God’s faithfulness and help. He will definitely help us and we will then praise the Lord. To go through this Spiritual Dryness is NEVER easy but there is only ONE Way to get out: It’s to Trust in God who will definitely come and deliver us. 023 (9 July 2022. The Lord is my Shepherd. Audio). He makes me lie down in Green Pastures. Word of God: The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2 He makes me lie down in green pastures; he leads me beside still waters; 3 he restores my soul. He leads me in right paths for his name’s sake. (Psalms 23: 1-3) “The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want”: With the Lord with me, He provides and I shall lack nothing as He is taking care of every detail of my life. The sheep only lie down when it is fully fed, feeling comfortable and being away from Threat. He will take us ALWAYS to green pastures. The Shepherd knows what is best for the sheep as sheep does know what is best for itself. God provides every single details of my life. 024 (10 July 2022. Entrance into His Temple. Audio). Who shall stand in His Holy Place? Word of God: 3 Who shall ascend the hill of the Lord? And who shall stand in his holy place? 4 Those who have clean hands and pure hearts, who do not lift up their souls to what is false and do not swear deceitfully. 5 They will receive blessing from the Lord and vindication from the God of their salvation. (Psalms 24: 3-5) This Psalm speaks of God’s great power and sovereignty. Everything belongs to God as He is the Creator. The meanings of “clean hands and pure hearts”: those People whose actions and intentions are pure & good. “do not lift up their souls to what is false”: You worship only God but not any idol. Such People are always be with God and at the Holy Place of God. 025 (11 July 2022. Prayer for Guidance and for Deliverance. Audio). Make me know Your Ways. Word of God: 4 Make me to know your ways, O Lord; teach me your paths. 5 Lead me in your truth and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation; for you I wait all day long. (Psalms 25: 4-5) This Psalm expressed David desire to take refuge in God and walk in God’s ways. David expressed that he needs to be corrected and guided by God to walk in His ways. Sometimes, God uses People around to correct us, to discipline us. It is wise and advisable to listen to others to be corrected. David wants guidance and leadership from God because he knows that his ways are not always full of truth to travel with God and in God. Accept correction from others so that we can flourish. 026 (12 July 2022. Plea for Justice and Declaration of Righteousness. Audio). I walk in my Integrity. Word of God: 11 But as for me, I walk in my integrity; redeem me and be gracious to me. 12 My foot stands on level ground; in the great congregation I will bless the Lord. (Psalms 26: 11-12) Vindicate me o Lord, for I have walk in Integrity and have trusted in You without wavering. Integrity means being honest and having a strong moral principle. You are then in a state or position that you are complete and you mind, heart and body NOT divided, to be complete in God. God doesn't want a divided heart. I should go to God with a full heart even there are lots of pains, sorrows and frustrations. And God is going to guide and help us. 027 (13 July 2022. Triumphant Song of Confidence. Audio). Word of God: 4 One thing I asked of the Lord; this I seek: to live in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to inquire in his temple. (Psalms 27: 4) David has this only wish: to search for God, being with God and desiring for God; it is really good. Who will desire for God? The one who really understood the beauty of God, His protection and providence; when you experienced God’s attributes and His love in your personal life, definitely you will be comfortable with God. Prayer is being in the presence of God, deepening the awareness of the Presence of God, and desiring God at all the time. 028 (14 July 2022. Prayer for Help and Thanksgiving for It. Audio). My Shield. Word of God: 6 Blessed be the Lord, for he has heard the sound of my pleadings. 7 The Lord is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts; so I am helped, and my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to him. (Psalms 28: 6-7) Evil heart connecting with Evil People. Trusting Heart connecting with David and People who do good things and also Rejoicing Heart. Whenever David prays, God listens and answers to David. My God is a strong Tower for me, He is my strength and my shield. If we believe Him being always faithful to us, everything and anything that happens in the World or in our personal lives, we can face it, we can move ahead and overcome challenges and struggles when we have a strong faith that my God is my strength and my shield. He is my ONLY Strength and my Strong Tower. If we believe this, life will become simpler and NOT so complex. If we believe in People or putting too much trust in them instead of God, life will become VERY complicated. David trusted in God in his entire life and eventually emerged victoriously. 029 (15 July 2022. The Voice of God in a Great Storm. Audio). The voice of the Lord is Full of Majesty. Word of God: 3 The voice of the Lord is over the waters; the God of glory thunders, the Lord, over mighty waters. 4 The voice of the Lord is powerful; the voice of the Lord is full of majesty. (Psalms 29: 3-4) David is speaking to All the mighty people that they need to acknowledge the mighty power of God in their lives, as His power far exceeds theirs, taking the example of the voice of the Lord. God created the entire Universe with his authoritative Word. God’s voice is strong enough to create anything and everything we have experienced. In the New Testament, Jesus authoritative word make the dead Lazarus come to life and so many other Miracles. Jesus said about His words: It is the spirit that gives life; the flesh is useless. The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life. (John 6:63) Listening to God’s voice and reading His words will lift us out of depression and give us LIFE. How many of us listen to the voice of God (from People or things around us?) as His voice is most powerful to change the damaged situation into good. There are many voices in the World but His voice is the ONLY one to build me up and to give me Life and Spirit. 030 (16 July. Thanksgiving for Recovery from Grave Illness. Audio). Thanksgiving. Word of God: 4 Sing praises to the Lord, O you his faithful ones, and give thanks to his holy name. 5 For his anger is but for a moment; his favour is for a lifetime. Weeping may linger for the night, but joy comes with the morning. (Psalms 30: 4-5) God gets angry? Yes, it is true. God discipline for a moment, but His blessings, His grace and favour are in abundance & everlasting. Advice: Develop a heart that is always with gratitude towards God, always full of Thanksgiving to God, then we will stop questioning, stop demanding, stop murmuring, we will stop all other distractions and restlessness, because our hearts are full of gratitude towards God and People around. 031 (17 July. Prayer and Praise for Deliverance from Enemies. Audio). Be gracious to me o Lord, for I am in distress. Word of God: 9 Be gracious to me, O Lord, for I am in distress; my eye wastes away from grief, my soul and body also. 10 For my life is spent with sorrow and my years with sighing; my strength fails because of my misery, and my bones waste away. (Psalms 31: 9-10) With all his troubles and distress, David has ONLY one hidden/secret place to rest, to take shelter and refuge in the Presence of God. Same for us too; just sit and rest in a chapel or in your private room to pray. The Presence of God makes EVERYTHING different in Life. 032 (18 July. The JOY of Forgiveness. Audio). I will instruct you and teach you the way you should go… Word of God: 7 You are a hiding place for me; you preserve me from trouble; you surround me with glad cries of deliverance. Selah 8 I will instruct you and teach you the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you. (Psalms 32: 7-8) David is praising God for His Forgiveness, His Protection and Guidance. When David refused to confessed his sins, he experienced restlessness and trouble. If we really repent and go for a good confession, we will be cleansed and made holy. God will instruct me the way I should go. One of the major disturbing and distracting element in our life is NO proper guidance. The Holy Spirit is our PERFECT Guide, we can never guide our lives with our human potentials and intellect. We cannot completely see and know everything, we cannot complete this race to do well and to really guide our lives, we need the divine assistance from the Spirit of God. 14 For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God. (Romans 8:14) Holy Spirit is the Perfect Guide. Pray to the Holy Spirit for Guidance every morning. See the Prayer to the Holy Spirit by Cardinal Mercier. 033 (19 July. The Greatness and Goodness of God. Audio). Our heart is GLAD in Him. Word of God: 20 Our soul waits for the Lord; he is our help and shield. 21 Our heart is glad in him because we trust in his holy name. 22 Let your steadfast love, O Lord, be upon us, even as we hope in you. (Psalms 33: 20-22) David is praising God for His Greatness. God’s work is always JUSTICE & TRUTH. God cares about each individual. It is good to wait upon the Lord, our hearts will be glad in Him. When I attach my heart to His Heart, I will be glad with Him and experience Spiritual Bliss & the Essence of Creation because God created each and every one of us in His image and likeness i.e. the nature of God’s love and we call this “Love of God”. When my heart is close to His heart, my heart will automatically become refreshing and enjoying because God’s Heart knows only Self-Giving Love, Pure Love and NO selfishness. I will then experience PURE LOVE which will give me Interior Peace and JOY and this will make me truly happy. 034 (20 July. Praise for Deliverance from Trouble. Audio). The Lord is near to the Broken-hearted. Word of God: 18 The Lord is near to the broken-hearted and saves the crushed in spirit. 19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord rescues them from them all. (Psalms 34: 18-19) We are always under the watching eyes of God. Sometimes with our suffering & pain, we feel that God is so far away, but we are NOT alone as God is close to the broken-hearted and He comes and rescues us from the oppressive situation and brokenness. Jesus had died on the Cross to save us and God is close to the Broken-hearted. 035 (21 July 2022. Prayer for Deliverance from Enemies. Audio). Delights in the welfare of His servant. Word of God: 27 Let those who desire my vindication shout for joy and be glad and say evermore, “Great is the Lord, who delights in the welfare of his servant.” 28 Then my tongue shall tell of your righteousness and of your praise all day long. (Psalms 35: 27-28) David is pleading to God to deliver him from his enemies and for His help. Later he shifted his focus to God to thank Him and proclaim His Righteousness. In our prayer too, the first stage we are sharing our lives, troubles and the need to face our adversaries and offer to God. Later, we focus on God to thank & praise Him. But God knows us through and through and He knows what we are going through. We need to know that when we go to the Church to pray, our intention should be worshiping God and adoring God, then we will feel enlightened, feel the Presence of God and these make Everything different. We need to do our responsibilities and work hard too for God to bless us. 036 (22 July 2022. Human Wickedness and Divine Goodness. Audio). In Your Light we see Light. Word of God: 9 For with you is the fountain of life; in your light we see light. 10 O continue your steadfast love to those who know you and your salvation to the upright of heart! (Psalms 36: 9-10) 4 In Him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. (John 1:4) 12 When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” (John 8:12) The Fullness of Light is ONLY in Jesus. The Satisfaction and Pleasures of our life is found ONLY in Jesus. The Fullness of Life is ONLY in God and in the house of God. Invite God to come into the areas of our life where we feel darkness. Offer your darkness to Jesus and receive the Real Light.
